OUR PARTNERS IN KITALE, KENYA

Pastor Peter Siakama and his wife, Sarah
Pastor Peter and Sarah Siakama
Pastor Peter Siakama, his wife Sarah, and their two children live in Kitale, where Sarah teaches in the public
school system. As Founder and Overseer of Gospel Light Ministries, Peter has planted over 30 churches, all
independently run. Their home church is Graceway Harvest Chapel on the border of Tuwani, also home to the 105 children
and staff of the Neema preschool. Peter is a gifted and visionary speaker, but finds his
primary focus is mentoring leaders.

Apollo and Rose Juma
Apollo and Rose Juma
Apollo Juma has recently been promoted as Head Pastor of Graceway Harvest Chapel, our partner church in Kitale.
His diligence, focus, and passion for the transformation of the community is providing leadership for four other
pastors, and a body of believers ready to go to work. Apollo also teaches full time in a government primary school.
He is married to Rose Juma, and they have two children, Favour and Deborah. Besides serving in the church as a teacher,
women’s leader, and worship leader, Rose is the full time School Secretary of Neema Care Centre, having received
training in Secretarial and Computer Skills, and Quickbooks. It is a privilege to work alongside this couple; their
selfless love and dedication is truly an example.

Job Mbako
Job Mbako
Job Mbako joined the staff of Neema Care Centre in 2009 as the Social Worker, but has since been promoted to School
Manager and Africa Connect liaison. Job works long hours to see that the details of the school run smoothly for the
children and the staff. In addition, he is a skilled interpreter and serves diligently in many areas of the church.
We are so thankful for Job!
Neema Care Centre Staff
The staff of the Care Centre has over the years developed
into a stable and productive unit, working with a clear vision and a sacrificial love for the children under their care.
Because these children come from the most desperate situations, their duties go beyond the norm, even for teachers in Kenya.
Often after a long day of teaching, you will find them counseling or instructing a parent, or visiting the homes of their
students, to better evaluate the needs and connect with the parents or guardians. Each teacher has been trained as a cell
group leader, and puts this to use in weekly neighborhood meetings in their own home.
Besides the administrators and teachers, the staff consists of a Social Worker, three lunch workers, a groundskeeper
and night watchman, all committed to the vision for their community.
